SUMMARY:Byzantine Christmas Concert: AHEPA Chapter 31
DESCRIPTION:Chapter 31 presents ‘A Byzantine Christmas Concert’ on Dec.16th at 7 pm\, at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral. \nThe concert will be under the direction of Georgios Theodoridis\, a Chapter 31 member and Archon Music Instructor\, and feature the Byzantine Choir of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America\, the Saint Sophia Cathedral Byzantine Choir and the Politiko Ensemble. The concert will present “the richness of Orthodox Hellenic devotional hymns that express the fundamental tenets of faith\, tradition and communion based on holy scripture that chronicles the Nativity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” The concert will also showcase the ancient folk art of caroling “from island to mainland Greece\, from Asia Minor to the Black Sea.” \nTickets can be purchased a dcgreeks.com.
